Fire near Drosh godown brought under control

CHITRAL: A fire that broke out in the bushes near the Chitral River close to Drosh godown was extinguished by the Rescue 1122 firefighting team.

\"FireAccording to Rescue 1122 officials, the fire started in the dry shrubs adjacent to the river. Upon receiving the emergency call, Rescue 1122 firefighting unit, along with fire vehicles, promptly reached the site.

Strong winds in the area made the operation challenging; however, with the joint efforts of Rescue 1122 firefighters, Forest Department officials, Chitral Levies, and local residents, the blaze was brought under control after an intense effort lasting approximately one and a half hours.

Five firefighters from Rescue 1122 took part in the operation, using nearly 7,000 liters of water to douse the flames.

Rescue 1122 Lower Chitral continues to provide round-the-clock emergency services to the public. Citizens are advised to call the toll-free number 1122 in case of any emergency.
