CHITRAL: The polio eradication campaign started in Lower Chitral on Monday (April 21).
The campaign to administer polio drops to children under five years of age will continue till April 25.
District Police Officer Iftikhar Shah has issued special instructions to implement strict security arrangements. SDPOs and SHOs are supervising the security arrangements by directly visiting the areas, said a spokesperson for the police.
They are utilizing all available resources to ensure the security of the polio teams, and they have made checkpoints across the district more active.
They have also been instructed to keep a close watch on suspicious individuals. Authorities urged parents to cooperate with the polio teams and make sure their children receive the polio drops.
Upper Chitral
Five-day anti-polio drive also commenced in Upper Chitral. Additional Deputy Commissioner Muazzam Khan Bangash visited BHU in Rech and asked field workers to administer drops to children as per micro plan.
