CHITRAL: A male student committed suicide in Ayun on Sunday morning, an official of the Lower Chitral police said.
The second-year student of Govt Higher Secondary School Ayun identified as Muhammad Amjad, son of Muhammad Akbar, shot himself dead in his house due to unknown reasons, the official quoted the family of the deceased.
After being alerted, officials from the local police station took the body in custody and shifted it to the District Headquarters Hospital Chitral for a postmortem.
On the basis of the postmortem report, the police would investigate the case to ascertain the actual circumstances.
