ISLAMABAD: The South Asian Olympic Executive Committee has announced the dates for the 14th South Asian Games.
A meeting of the South Asian Olympic Executive Committee was held in Lahore under the chairmanship of President Pakistan Olympic Association Arif Saeed. The dates of the South Asian Games were approved in the meeting.
The 14th South Asian Games will be held in Pakistan from January 23 to January 31 next year and the games will be held in Lahore, Faisalabad and Islamabad.
In the meeting, medals of Arshad Nadeem and Neeraj Chopra in the Paris Olympics were mentioned. The participants said that Arshad Nadeem and Neeraj Chopra highlighted South Asia on the world stage, inspired the youth of the subcontinent, but also proved sports as a source of peace.
On the other hand, Secretary Sports Punjab said, \”We are ready for the 14th South Asian Games. South Asian Games are important for the development of sports in the region.\”
DG Sports Punjab Khizer Afzal said many international events are currently being held in Pakistan.
