ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has announced a day of national mourning on the sad passing of the 49th Imam His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan.
According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division, \”Expressing profound grief and shock on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan, on the sad demise of His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan, the Prime Minister has declared a national mourning in Pakistan on Saturday, the 8th of February, 2025, on the occasion of funeral of the His Highness.
\”The National Flag shall fly on half mast throughout the country on 8th February, 2025.\”
His Highness Shah Karim Al-Hussaini Aga Khan IV passed away in Lisbon Portugal at the age of 88 on February 4, 2025. Prince Rahim, 53, has become the 50th Imam of the Ismailis according to the Will of the 49th Imam who passed away in Lisbon Portugal on February 4, 2025. His elder son Prince Rahim, 53, has become the 50th Imam of the Ismailis according to the Will of the 49th Imam.
