PESHAWAR: Zahid Fazal from the University of Peshawar\’s Department of Botany, defended his PhD dissertation on phytoecological diversity and conservation measures of threatened vegetation of Koh valley Hindu Kush Ranges, Chitral.

Fazal\’s research was guided by Dr. Lal Badshah, Assistant Professor of Botany at the University of Peshawar.

A panel of experts, comprising Dr. Khalid Ahmad, Assistant Professor at COMSATS University Islamabad and Dr. Asad Ullah, Assistant Professor at the Centre of Plant Biodiversity, University of Peshawar, assessed the thesis.

Zahid Fazal\’s study sheds light on the critically endangered vegetation of the Koh valley in Chitral, contributing to the understanding of phytoecological diversity and conservation measures.
