PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court has granted protective bail to Bushra Bibi, wife of PTI founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan, barring her arrest in any case for 14 days.
A two-member bench, comprising Justice Shaukat Ahmed and Justice Sabzada Asadullah, heard a petition filed by Bushra Bibi\’s lawyer.
Bushra Bibi\’s lawyer informed the court that cases had been registered against her in all four provinces, but the details were unknown. The lawyer requested protection from arrest, citing the constitution\’s guarantee of protection for every citizen.
The court directed NAB, FIA, and other institutions to provide case details and ordered that Bushra Bibi not be arrested for 14 days.
This development comes after a court in Islamabad granted bail to her in the Toshakhana case on October 23, 2024, against surety bonds worth Rs10 million. She was subsequently released from Adiala Jail and arrived in Peshawar.
