Eight soldiers martyred in Bannu terror attack

RAWALPINDI: Eight army personnel were martyred in a terrorist attack on the Bannu cantonment in Khyber Pakthunkhwa.

The ISPR in a statement today said that the terrorists rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the boundary wall of the Bannu cantonment. As a result, eight soldiers embraced martyrdom.

The armymen belonged to Muzaffarabad, Poonch, Neelum of Azad Kashmir, Bahawalpur, Karak and Lakki Marwat.

The ISPR said that 10 terrorists were involved in the attack and the security forces killed all of them. It said the attack was carried out by Hafiz Gul Bahadar group that operates from Afghanistan.
