ISLAMABAD: Retired ambassador Muhammad Aslam Khan from Chitral passed away at a hospital in Kuwait, according to family sources. He was 69.
Ambassador Aslam Khan belonged to Shogram village of Upper Chitral and was an officer of the Foreign Service of Pakistan. In September 2014, he was appointed as Pakistan\’s ambassador to Kuwait.
Ambassador Khan was living in Kuwait after his retirement. He was admitted to a hospital in Kuwait after developing health complications where he passed away today.


Mohammad Aslam of Shoograme, Chitral was the most learned, intellectual and scholar- bureaucrat from Chitral. He joined Foreign Service in 1984 after passing CSS examination with distinction. He served in Iran, Egypt, Switzerland, United States and Kuwait among other countries. May Allah grant eternal peace to the departed soul and grant courage and fortitude to the bereaved family to bear the loss. With his sudden and untimely departure from this world Chitral is deprived of a brilliant son and a great professional.
