41 kg charas, arms recovered in police raids

CHITRAL: Over 40 kilograms of charas and arms and ammunition were recovered from a garage and a house during  police raids, the Lower Chitral police said in a statement on Saturday.

It said that Subdivisional Police Officer Lotkoh Tameezuddin and Station House Officer Inspector Mujeebur Rehman along with a police team raided a garage under the use of Abdul Baqi, son of Abdul Hakim, resident of Lotkoh.

During the raid, the police recovered 39 kilograms of charas from the garage, said the statement. 

Another raid was conducted at the house of Attaur Rehman, son of Khan Bahadur, in the village of Gohik, Parabeg.  The police recovered two kg charas, three guns, one 30-bore pistol, two daggers along with cartridges.  The police registered separate cases and arrested two suspects and have launched investigations.
