BOONI: A man committed suicide in the Mastuj town of Upper Chitral, according to an official of the local police.
The official identified the suicide victim as Syed Akbar Shah. He said Shah ended his life by hanging from the ceiling in of a room in his house.
According to the official, Shah\’s son had also committed suicide a few months ago after which he had been in distress.
This is very tragic indeed. The father ended his life after feeling so guilty of his decision not to allow his loved one to come home with his bride. Parents need to be very accommodative in this changing world and should never force their decisions on their children.
