CHITRAL: Seven tourists coming to Chitral from Karachi sustained injuries when a van they were travelling in met with an accident near Ashiret and fell into a ravine on Friday.
Rescue 1122 said the van carrying 13 tourists from Karachi was coming to Chitral from Rawalpindi and fell off the road due to break failure.
Six of the Karachites remained unhurt. The injured persons were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Drosh where they were out of danger.
It may be noted that after rush during Eidul Fitr, a large number of tourists are coming to Chitral to attend the Chilimjusht festival in the Kalash valleys that started on Friday.
If roads condition is not improved, tourists will not put their life at danger by coming to Chitral. there is nothing for tourists in Chitral like hotels, restaurants and roads.
