GILGIT: An Anti-Terrorism Court in Gilgit on Tuesday ordered release of incarcerated journalist D.J Mathal on bail. The court gave the verdict while hearing a bail plea.

DJ Mathal was arrested on 24th October 2016 in Gilgit, after he presented himself to the police. He was wanted in cases pertaining to ‘publication of controversial content’.
The police had then claimed recovering ‘anti-national pamphlets’ and other publications from his office.
It is expected that the incarcerated journalist, who is the owner, chief editor and publisher Daily Bang-e-Sahar, Baang, and online Broshal Times will be released in a couple of days.–Pamir Times
