'Illegally' closed classroom opened after 11 years

\"\'Illegally\'CHITRAL: A classroom at the Govt Girls’ High School Mastuj remained illegally closed since 2006 – for almost 11 years.
The matter was brought under the notice of Deputy Commissioner Chitral Irshad Sodhar by District Monitoring Officer Muhammad Saleh at a meeting the other day.
The DC issued directives to unlock the room within 24 hours. Additional Deputy Commissioner Chitral Minhas Uddin deputed the revenue officer and the classroom was unlocked/opened on Friday.
Necessary legal action as per rules shall also be initiated against the responsible persons for trespassing on the government property, said the DC office.
When contacted by ChitralToday, a senior police official said that the owner of the land on which the classroom had been built had closed the room in 2006 after the education department did not give him an employment as promised.
He said on the direction of the DC, he along with the tehsildar of Mastuj visited the school and asked the owner of the land to open the room. The owner of the land was old that he should adopt a legal process to get his right but should not keep the classroom closed.
The official said the owner of the land did not resist and opened the room.

  1. The class room remained locked for 11 years, as reported. It is strange Why the Education Administration didn’t take any action during this long period and why the Monitoring team remained silent since its establishment?

  2. This is absurd, I am sure the administration of chitral is always like this no one cares and when they do its beacuse a non-chitrali directs them. shame on us chitralis.
