BOONI: As many as 10 shopkeepers and vendors in Booni bazaar were booked by the local administration for overcharging.
The action was taken on the direction of Deputy Commissioner Chitral after complaints received from the residents about soaring prices of commodities at the Booni bazaar.
The deputy commissioner directed the revenue officers to regularly inspect the bazaars in their respective domains.
Tehsildar Booni Tariq Ahmad carried out a checking of the bazaar during which he also checked the expiry dates and quality of different items. During the checking, the 10 shopkeepers were booked and their cases sent to courts.
