The decision was taken by the authorities of the HEC on the intervention of MPA from upper Chitral Syed Sardar Hussain. The MPA met the senior officials of the commission and aptusede them of the SBBU decision to close down the campus. He said with the closure of the campus the future of the students enrolled there would be at stake. The MPA assured the HEC authorities that the local community was readty to provide land for the campus free of cost. It may be noted that the SBBUadministration had started packing from the campus on Nov 30 but the MPA said he stopped the process and took up the matter with the HEC in Islamabad.
