Man from GB held for alleged fraud

CHITRAL: The local police have arrested a native of Gilgit-Baltistan on the charge of minting money in the name of a bogus educational institute.

\"fradi\"The Chitral police said the accused, identified as Sher Alam from the Hunza valley of Gilgit-Baltistan had set up a dubious Karakorum International Private School in Chitral and received thousands of rupees as admission and tuition fees from gullible students.

The accused also made purchases in the name of the school in the bazaar without paying to the shopkeepers. Even he used to hire taxis and did not pay the owners the fares.

The police said they were investigating the suspect after receiving complaints from the citizens.–Bashir Hussain
