Youth competition concludes in Mumuret valley

\"kalash\" The programme was implemented by AVDP and organized by Kalash People’s Development Network (KPDN), says a press release. It was the first time such a competition was held in Kal’as’a Mondr, the Kalasha language. The event was divided into six categories such as essay/speech, traditional songs, Dhushak, Drazahilak, Nomnomek and Danhun bhanjek. Total 28 youth participated in the competition. In the essay competition, Zarkima won the first position. Anila second and Faiz Begum stood third and Humaira also get a position. In Drazhahilak category, Zafar Muluk remained the first position. Iqbal Nazir 2nd and Amir Gul 3rd position.\"IMG_7500\" The category Nomnomek, teacher Rahmat Din won first position while Shahid Khan secured second 2nd position. In category traditional song, Kamar Uddin grabbed the first position, Gul farad second and Shashmita stood third. Ca’a’ group, Sail Nazir first position Sham Seema got second position, the last competition was beating traditional Drams. In this groups Iqbal Shah wins first position, Sayed Hakim 2nd and Bihari Lal stood 3rd. The competition was aim to promote leadership skills in youth, through such competition. The event was also participated by large number of school students. Nazim village council Adv Muhammad Rafi appreciated efforts of AKRSP/GAC especially AVDP and organizers of KPDN for promoting healthy competition in youth. Judging panel including Wazir Zada, Khosh Ahmad Khan, Kui Begam, Lali Gul, Akram Hussain, Bakhtawar Shah, Sher Taj, Rahmat Din and Shahi Bibi Kalash qazi and elder Mashar term the basic event to polish young talent to lead youth for leadership. The participants were in view that such competition need to be held very frequently in Kalasha valleys to promote youth development activities.\"kal\" ]]>

  1. The community of kalasha need basic things like food, shelter, live stocks and education for the survival of the vulnerable people rather then such useless competition activities.

    The residents of Bomboratre and other Kalash valley’s are financially much stable then people of any other valley in Chitral, specially upper Chitral. It is full of natural resources and sources of livelihood are in abundance there ..

    Learning is the life long process . to become civilized on moral basis is some how not so controversial as you want to elaborate it. Its not the way of learning: to criticise on well learned people. Correct the opponent with sophisticated manner rather blame and object him/her.
