CHITRAL: The education department has appointed 170 teachers in different parts of Chitral in a single move, marking a significant step toward strengthening the region\’s education system.
The newly-appointed teachers have been deployed across various schools in both upper and lower Chitral, aiming to address the shortage of teaching staff and improve the quality of education.
Officials from the department claimed that the appointments were made on merit and are part of broader efforts to enhance educational access in remote and underserved areas. The initiative is also expected to reduce the student-teacher ratio and provide much-needed support to schools facing staffing challenges.
Local residents and education activists have welcomed the decision, expressing hope that it will lead to better academic performance and increased enrollment in government schools.

Well done
The selection of teachers through NTS test is a great contribution of the PTI govt in KPK and and we firmly believe that the PTI govt is sincere in improving the quality of education.we suggest that the education department KPK should also provide training to its teachers in latest teaching methodologies and in content knowledge. The teachers should be trained during the summer and winter vacations.Capacity building of teachers should be a continuing process and not one off exercise. Congratulations to those successful teachers who have qualified NTS.
