Woman’s dead body recovered from riverside

CHITRAL: The dead body of a woman, who committed suicide by jumping into the Chitral river in Charun on Sept 24, was recovered from the riverside at Parpish on Monday.

Rescue 1122 in a statement said that after being alerted by local people about the body, its staffers reached Parpish where the body had become visible after reduction in the volume of the river water, and retrieved it.

The rescuers shifted the body to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Booni from where it was handed over to the relatives of the woman after completing legal formalities.
