Islamabad, Nov 1, 2025: The Motorway Police closed the M-1 from Peshawar to Rashakai due to heavy fog and severely reduced visibility.
A spokesperson for the Motorway Police said the closure was necessary to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of motorists and their property.
“The decision has been taken purely in the interest of public safety,” the spokesperson said, adding that visibility in some areas had dropped to a few meters, making driving extremely hazardous.
Motorists have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel, use fog lights, and stay informed about road conditions through the Motorway Police helpline (130) or the official radio service.
