Chitrali’s thunder in NA: “Let Modi come, leave him to us”

ISLAMABAD, May 9, 2025: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Abdul Latif Chitrali set the National Assembly ablaze with his fiery warning to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi: tread carefully, or face the consequences.

Taking the floor during a heated debate on clashes between India and Pakistan, the outspoken lawmaker unleashed a scorching speech, mixing religion, history, and nationalism with sharp barbs aimed squarely at India and its leadership.

Drawing from the past, Chitrali reminded the House that back in 1948, when many of those present in the House may not have even born or were “still in cradles,” the elders of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had risen to “liberate Kashmir” through armed resistance.

Without skipping a beat, he proudly declared that his own ancestors from Chitral had conquered Skardu from the Dogra Raj without any external assistance. “It was in their blood,” he thundered, invoking pride in their legacy.

Quoting the Quran, Chitrali described Muslims as “firm against enemies and kind among their own,” his voice growing more intense as he addressed the escalating tensions at the border.

“Let Modi come for Pakistan – just leave him to us,” Chitrali growled. “We’ll show him what we’re made of.”

With that, the fiery MNA left the House buzzing, making it clear that Pakistan would not back down in the face of aggression.
