Sharifs on visit to Belarus
MINISK: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, accompanied by ex-PM Nawaz Sharif, arrived in Minsk on a two-day official visit to Belarus on April 10.
They were warmly received by Belarusian Prime Minister Alexander Turchin at the airport. Officials of the Pakistani embassy in Belarus were also present on the occasion.
The prime minister is accompanied by PML-N President Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi, and Senior Punjab Minister Maryam Aurangzeb.
Later, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko hosted a dinner in honour of the Sharifs and their delegation at his farmhouse.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz visited Victory Square in Minsk, where he laid a wreath at the memorial for soldiers who lost their lives during World War II.
