Chitrali teacher’s innovation selected for global showcasing
BOONI: An innovative solution to educational challenges by a teacher of Government Primary School (GPS) Andraghach (Khot) Upper Chitral has stood first in national level showcasing event held in Islamabad under Schools2030.
This teacher led innovative solution to be presented at the annual global forum in Nairobi Kenya this year in June, reads a letter from Director AKF and ECD.
Hailing from Laspur, Mr. Faiz Ur Rahman has been serving in education department as a Senior Primary School Teacher in GPS Andraghach and has made this achievement. He has competed at district and regional level showcasing events. His locally driven solution to improve numeracy stood first at national level.
AKF said it works with 23 public schools in district upper Chitral. Mr. Rahman has been part of AKF led Schools2030 (S2030) program.
While talking to ChitralToday, Mr. Rahman shared his success with progressive educational management leadership in district upper Chitral, cooperation and mentorship of AKF program officers.
Schools2030 is a global movement for holistic learning and teacher leadership. It works in 10 countries across the world in 1000+ schools to improve quality of education, holistic learning, foster resilient education systems, for those living in the remote regions, and those facing multiple forms of marginalization and crises.
Mr. Rahman has innovated solution to the educational challenges faced by his students through human centered design (HCD) for numeracy cohort. His innovative teaching and resource-kit has dramatically transformed learning environment and progress in teaching and learning in his school.
His dedication and passion was at the heart of his struggle to make a difference and creating locally driven innovative solution for numeracy challenge in his school. His achievement is a source of inspiration for educators, and to find creative solutions to educational challenges in the area.
