Teachers’ body vows to work for quality education

CHITRAL: The All Primary Teachers Association (APTA) Upper Chitral at a meeting resolved to working for quality education.
The APTA held a meeting at Government Primary School Tek Lasht in Booni, where a new cabinet of the organization was also formed. The meeting was chaired by former president Saifullah and attended by a large number of teachers from various areas of Upper Chitral.
The chairman of the APTA Supreme Council, Usman Khan, emphasized the importance of unity.
Former president Saifullah highlighted his two-year performance, stating that he had organized over 50 meetings, which improved the functioning of the organization.
Finance Secretary Haider Wali Taj presented a financial report and thanked the teachers, especially female teachers, for their timely contributions.
During the meeting, a unanimous decision was made by the teachers to form a new cabinet, which will serve for the next three years.
The newly elected cabinet includes Syed Jalal as Chairman of the Supreme Council, Akhundzada Tanveerul Haq as President, Naeem Din as General Secretary, Haider Wali Taj as Finance Secretary, Hussain Shahid as Secretary of Information, Saeed Qayyum as Program Coordinator, and Shahbaz Khan as Joint Secretary.
The new cabinet has prioritized resolving teachers’ issues, preparing a multi-grade curriculum, issuing awards for outstanding teachers and schools, creating a system to support underprivileged students, and improving the organization’s functioning.
Newly-elected President Akhundzada Tanveerul Haq thanked the teachers and vowed to live up to their trust.
He also promised to work on resolving office-related issues on a priority basis. Furthermore, he urged teachers to work diligently on students’ education and announced the introduction of awards and other benefits for teachers.
