PESHAWAR: A provincial consultation dialogue on KP Education Sector Plan was held at Serena Hotel Peshawar with Secretary Education Masood Ahmad as chief guest.
Qaisar Alam, Special Secretary KP Education, shed light on the Education Sector Plan and said the consultation will provide space for future plan of actions. He emphasized utilizing the education budget more towards the developmental side.
He also mentioned the need for a revised and better curriculum as five subjects in ECE are overburdening the children. We should look into the models of Japan and Singapore.
Baela Jamil, CEO of ITA, presented the annual status of education report, a comprehensive study on foundational learning, on the three program districts under the Multi-resilience Program of VSO to which ITA is a technical partner.
Ms. Baela also mentioned the District Education Performance Index by the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiative.
Secretary Masood Ahmad emphasized the involvement of his staff in more energetic way particularly in early childhood education. He said that his office was open to any good suggestions that make the educational landscape better in this province.

Our vision would complement eradicating learning crisis by revisiting the curriculum, which is currently been advised to get reviewed in close coordination with technical experts.\”
