Chitrali scholar qualifies for PhD degree

ISLAMABAD: Abdul Wadood, a research scholar at the Department of Pakistan Studies, University of Peshawar, has successfully defended his PhD thesis and qualified for the award of the doctorate degree.
Wadood, who belongs to Parwak village of upper Chitral, conducted his research on ““Role of Chitral in Pakistan Movement and Annexation with Pakistan” under the supervision of Dr Fakhrul Islam, Pakistan Study Centre, University of Peshawar. 
His internal examiner was Dr Yunas Khan of Islamia College University, Peshawar and external examiner was Danielle Jung, Assistant Professor of Political Science at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia, United States. 
Wadood is the younger brother of Abdul Akram, the newly appointed Chitrali Deputy Commissioner Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
