NDMA warns of GLOFs, flash floods
ISLAMABAD: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has warned of flash floods in many parts of the country due to heavy rainfall.
The warning was issued after Met Office forecast the wet spell which will continue till July 23.
All four provinces as well as AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) would experience a new spell of rain. Landslides may disrupt roads in the hilly areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan during the spell.
Two days ago, NDMA also issued a glacial lake outburst floods (Glof) alert for mountainous areas of KP and Gilgit-Baltistan due to rising temperatures and expected heavy rainfall from July 17 to 23.
