Senior journalist shot dead in Nowshera

PESHAWAR: Unknown persons shot dead a senior journalist in Nowshera on Sunday afternoon.
Hassan Zeb, a resident of Akberpura, was associated with Daily AJ newspaper of Peshawar. His murder has sent shockwaves throughout the journalist community, with many condemning the incident and demanding swift action against the perpetrators.
The Khyber Union of Journalists (KhUJ) has strongly condemned the murder of Hassan Zeb. KhUJ President Nasir Hussain and General Secretary Imran Yousafzai expressed condolences to the family of the deceased journalist and demanded that the government arrest the killers immediately.
Similarly, Peshawar Press Club President Arshad Aziz Malik and General Secretary Irfan Musazai also condemned the incident and demanded justice for Hassan Zeb. They urged the government to take concrete steps to ensure the safety and security of journalists in the province.
Senior journalist and Bureau Chief of Ausaf newspaper Fareedullah said the murder of Hassan Zeb is a grim reminder of the dangers faced by journalists in Pakistan.
The incident has once again highlighted the need for increased security measures to protect journalists and ensure their safety while performing their duties.
An investigation into the murder is currently underway, and the police are working to apprehend the culprits.
