PTI’s Farid Jan elected tehsil council chairman

DROSH: Syed Farid Jan Advocate of the PTI won the election for the vacant seat of Drosh Tehsil Council Chairman by defeating Shaukatul Mulk of the PML-N on April 28, 2024.

The PTI candidate scored 11,300 votes against 8,535 of the PML-N man while independents Salahuddin could bag 561 and Aziz Muhammad 332 votes, according to the unofficial results gathered from the total 58 polling stations.

The seat of the chairman tehsil council was vacated by Shahzada Khalid Pervez after he parted ways with the PPP and joined the PTI-Parliamentarians of Pervez Khattak for contesting the Feb 8th general elections. Mr Pervez lost the election for PK-2 to PTI’s Fatehul Mulk Ali Nasir in the general elections.
