Pakistan outclass Kiwis in T20 match
RAWALPINDI: Pakistan beat New Zealand by seven wickets in the second T20 match played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Saturday night.
Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first. Playing first, Kiwis could score 90 runs in 18.1 overs and were all out. In reply, Pakistan achieved the target in 12.1 overs for the loss of three wickets. The earlier match was cancelled due to rain on Thursday.
Shaheen led the attack with 3-13 while Amir, returning to international cricket after nearly four years, finished with 2-13 as the visitors were bowled out in 18.1 overs after being sent in to bat. Rizwan finished with 45 not out off 34 balls with a six and four boundaries to ensure Pakistan chased down a modest target in 12.1 overs and take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.
