CHITRAL: The Lower Chitral police on Sunday said that it arrested a habitual woman drug peddler after recovery of ice (crystal methamphetamine) from her house.
In a statement, the police said that on the direction of District Police Officer Qamar Hayat Khan, a crackdown was underway in the district.
Under supervision of Subdivisional Police Officer (SDPO) Sajjad Hussain, SHO City police station Bulbul Hassan carried out a search operation.
The police team led by the SHO recovered 72 gram ice and Rs56,000 cash received from drug sale from the house of the woman, identified as Rohima Bibi, widow of Fazal Nabi, at Zargarandeh.
The woman, a habitual drug peddler, was arrested and further investigation launched against her, said the statement.
