CHITRAL: The dead body of an unidentified man was recovered from River Chitral at Saeedabad area of Lower Chitral on Sunday, Rescue 1122 stated.
It said someone informed the emergency service about the dead body after which a team reached the spot and recovered the remains from the river. The dead body was later shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for pending identification. There was no report about anyone missing or falling into the river in Chitral.
In summers, drowning cases become quite common in Chitral but in winters as the volume of river in the tributaries tributaries decreases such incidents are very rare except for suicide cases.
