The employees had stopped work, locked the TMA offices and staged a sit-in at Atalighi bridge for many weeks.
Today, the protesters said that as the general elections were going to be held on February 8, the TMA protesting workers decided to ensure water supply to the town.
In order to ensure cleanliness and supply of clean drinking water to the residents during the election days, the TMA workers have postponed their strike.
They said the workers will launch their protest again on February 13, 2024, till acceptance of their demand.
