FC chief urge students to exercise caution on social media
PESHAWAR: Faculty members and students from various universities and colleges of Chitral, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Swat and Dir visited Fort Balahisar Peshawar on Wednesday.
They met Inspector General Frontier Corps North Major General Noor Wali Khan. They were given a briefing on the areas of responsibility of Frontier Corps, highlighting the measures taken for peace and development in these areas.
Emphasizing the importance of education, Major General Khan encouraged students to pursue education aligned with the demands of the modern age, contributing to the progress of both the country and their local communities.
He underscored the positive use of technology and the significance of cultivating a positive mindset. He expressed concerns about the misuse of social media, particularly its negative impact on the younger generation.
He urged students to exercise caution on social media, emphasizing the importance of verifying information before sharing it and avoiding participation in campaigns that could sow discord in society.
The students expressed appreciation for the visit, acknowledging the role of FC in raising awareness about the crucial role of security forces. They highlighted the significance of such visits in inspiring a sense of responsibility and passion among the youth to actively contribute to the development and security of the nation.
The faculty members and students paid their respects at the Martyrs Memorial in Fort Balahisar. They laid flowers and offered prayers for the elevation of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Pakistan.
