Two students from remote village stand first & third in national contest

BOONI: A 9th class student from the remote village of Upper Chitral topped a nation-wise speech contest in Urdu language held in Peshawar in connection with a Seeratun Nabi conference.

Assistant District Education Officer Upper Chitral Rehmat Ali Khan told ChitralToday that Aliur Rehman, of the Govt High School Verkhop, had earlier held first position in the Urdu speech contest at the provincial level. 

Later, the student also remained first in the Urdu speech contest held at the national level under the Seeratun Nabi Conference in Peshawar, he added.

Moreover, Atiqur Rehman, a class 7th student from Govt Middle School Warijun, remained third in a Naat Khawani contest at the national level at the same conference.

The ADEO said it was an honor not only for the parents of the students and their schools, but also for the district education department. He said the district administration also extended full cooperation in preparing the two students for participation at the provincial and national level contests.
