Body of policeman allegedly killed by colleague brought home
CHITRAL: The dead body of a young policeman, who succumbed to an injury sustained in a brawl with a colleague, was brought home on Monday.
The deceased, Jalal Uddin, was a resident of Karimabad valley of Lower Chitral.
Sources in the area told ChitralToday that Jalal was undergoing elite force training out of Chitral. He had a brawl with a Chitrali colleague due to yet-to-be known reasons during which he sustained a severe injury to the head.
The injured was taken to the Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) Karachi by his relatives where he passed away after remaining in coma for about a week.
His body was brought to the Police Lines Lower Chitral where Namaz-e-Janaza was held, attended by District Police Officer Salahuddin Kundi, the relatives of the deceased and police officials.
The body was later sent to the native village of the deceased for burial.
