Dead bodies of three teenagers recovered from lake

BOONI: Three boys were found drowned in a lake near Booni late on Thursday, Rescue 1122 Upper Chitral said.

It said the deceased were aged About 13 to 15 years and residents of Gahli in Booni. The incident occured in a lake located along the river at Awi Lasht.

The boys have been identified as Murtaza, son of Khosh, Mehboob, son of Basharat, and Fayaz, son of Musar.

The three teenage boys had gone to the lake for swimming. When they did not return a search was launched by their relatives.

Later, their clothes and shoes were found lying on the bank of the water. Upon getting information, Rescue 1122 staff reached the spot.

The bodies were taken out from the water and shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Booni for postmortem, the emergency service said.
