Arandu resident arrested, looted amount recovered: police

CHITRAL: A man from Arandu has been arrested after he allegedly looted an elderly man at Xang Bazar a few days ago.

In a press release, the police said that after the incidence the district police officer Ikramullah Khan had directed the City police to nab the accused at all costs.

The police constituted a team who with the help of CCTV footage traced the accused, an Arandu resident. 

The police identified him as Sher Zahid, son of Muhammad Zahid, a resident of Damel in Arandu. 

The police also recovered the looted cash amounting to Rs59,240 and different items which he had purchased from the remaining cash.

The arrested man, who the police said is highly clever and cunning, is under investigation.

    Please do show the clear picture of the robber if he’s not underage, so that when he’ll get loose on bail or some easy punishment in any case he may do it to someone again. Also you’ve not written the story properly how he robbed a man. Did he harassed him or produced a weapon.
    This is not Karachi, Chitral people are peace loving doesn’t mean they can’t control such idiots. He has not come across our boys.
