English language training program launched

CHITRAL: A 10-week English language training program was launched in Lower Chitral in order to enhance the ELT community according to the standards of developed countries.
The training program has been sponsored by the RELO Pakistan, US Embassy and is administered by Vision Building Future. This program is a part of the TEA Alumni Small Grant, which was awarded to TEA Alumna Nusrat Jabeen following her professional exchange program in the United States.
The opening ceremony was held at GGPS Aryan Chitral town where Zubaida Khanam, Deputy District Education Officer and former TEA Alumna, was the guest of honor.
In her address, she emphasized the importance of a language program for teachers and urged them to take full advantage of the opportunity. She thanked RELO Pakistan and VBF for allowing teachers from public and private schools to update their pedagogical skills through this training program.
Nusrat Jabeen, the training program facilitator, briefed the participants on the program’s objectives and the importance of improving pedagogical skills in ESL classrooms through student-centered classroom approaches of the twenty-first century.
Ms. Mehrunisa, ADO Education Department, program officer SRSP, principals of private and public schools and a large number of English teachers from both private and public sectors attended the program.
