Repair, widening of Chitral road underway

CHITRAL: Peshawar Chitral highway widening and repair work has been started by National Highway Authority (NHA).

The construction and repair of the road will make travel easier for local people and tourists. Besides, it will reduce accidents.

From Ziarat to Ashiret near Lowari Tunnel, the work on the construction of the road has been left unfinished by NHA for many years, as a result, the commuters have to face a lot of hardships.

However, now the National Highway Authority has started the construction and repair work on the main highway through Pasban Contractors. The road will be made 40 feet wide.

Along with the black topping of the Peshawar Chitral road, concrete work is being done for the first time on the shoulders on both sides of the road by transit mixer machine.

Commuters and local people appreciated the long overdue work to widen and repair the main road to Chitral.
