Three Chitrali students admitted to AKU’s MBBS program

ISLAMABAD: Three students belonging to Chitral have made it to the MBBS program of Aga Khan University (AKU) Karachi’s Class of 2027, ChitralToday has learnt.

The students have been offered admission after they successfully got through a written test followed by two interviews. The AKU admits around 100 students each year for its five-year MBBS program. 

The three Chitrali students are: Mehrosh Zafar, daughter of Dr Zafar Ahmed, Junalikoch; Aliza Alam, daughter of Zar Alam Khan, Dizg Yarkhun, and Shafia Baig, daughter of Mir Jaffar Baig, Kargin village, Upper Chitral.

Mehrosh did her O Level from Elite International School and A Level from Beaconhouse School System Islamabad. She is currently enrolled at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).

Aliza Alam did her O and A Levels from Roots International School Islamabad. She has also qualified for admission to Khyber Medical College (KMC) Peshawar by obtaining 191 out of 200 marks in MDCAT with an overall aggregate of 92.8 percent. 

Shafia passed her secondary school certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate ((HSSC) exams from Aga Khan Higher Secondary School (AKHSS), Kuragh.

Another brilliant student, she was also offered admission for the BS program at the University of Central Asia in Tajikistan.
