CHITRAL: Three boys fell from a bridge in Zanglasht area of Torkhow, Upper Chitral, and drowned in a river on Friday evening.
The boys were returning home at Khashoon Zanglasht after playing football in a ground in Bozon Washich when the incident occurred while crossing a pedestrian bridge over Torkhow river.
The deceased were identified as Basit, Ihtesham and Jubaid.
Local people launched a search for the dead bodies and recovered one of them till the evening.
The tragic incident sent a wave of shock across the whole area. The locals said despite repeated demand the bridge was not reconstructed for years.
