Dead body recovered from riverside

CHITRAL: The dead body of an unidentified person was found on the riverside at Green Lasht village of Upper Chitral on Monday.

Rescue 1122 in a statement said that it received information that local people had spotted the dead body at the riverside. Its staff from Booni reached the spot and shifted the body to the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital, Booni, pending identification. 

A number of incidents of drowning and suicide by jumping into the river have been reported across Chitral in the recent past. A few days ago, a youth fell into the river near Green Lasht and his body is yet to be recovered.
