Mentally disturbed man saved from ‘drowning’

CHITRAL: A man, described as mentally disturbed by Rescue 1122, was saved from possible drowning into the river here on Sunday.

Rescue 1122 Lower Chitral said it was alerted that a mentally disturbed man had reached the riverside between the Royal Fort and Pamir Hotel and may jump into it. The emergency service said it sent its divers to the spot who found the unidentified man standing in the water.

The unidentified man was taken out of the river and shifted to the office of Rescue 1122. The police have been informed for identification of the man, it added.
