SHOOSHT: (UPPER YARKHUN): Chief minister’s special assistant on minorities’affairs Wazirzada concluded his two-day visit of Yarkhun in connection with the campaign of the PTI candidates in the local government elections on Thursday, a correspondent for ChitralToday reported.
Addressing public gatherings at Brep, Bang and Shoosht etc, he linked allocation of funds for different projects demanded by the locals to the ruling party’s winning the March 31 local government elections.
During the visit, PTI candidate for the slot of tehsil Mastuj chairman Sardar Hakim, party leaders Rehmat Ghazi, Abdul Latif and others accompanied Wazirzada.
People of Shoosht demanded construction of the road from Mastuj to Broghil, upgradation of the dispensary at Yarkhun Lasht to Basic Health Unit (BHU), completion of work on a bridge between Kand and Shoosht villages, opening of utility stores in Yarkhun, allocation of a job quota for the local youths and construction of playgrounds in different villages of the remote valley.
They also demanded opening of a dispensary in Zupu and payment of stuck-up salaries of the Nigahbans of the forest department.
After listening to the demands, Wazirzada MPA presented a list of development projects for which tenders have already been floated in the area. He said more funds would be allocated to meet the demands of the local people if they voted for the PTI candidates in the local government elections on March 31.
Conditional funding for the area means that the PTI Government have started a novel business.
