Three Chitrali footballers picked in talent hunt

PESHAWAR: Three young footballers from Chitral have been picked for playing in the International Football Club in Ireland through the Prime Minister’s Kamayab Jawan Players Hunt Programme.

The talent hunt programme was for players in the age group of 15 to 25 years. The trials were held in hockey, cricket, squash, football, table tennis etc.

The three Chitrali footballers are: Alamgir Ghazi, Hamza Munir and Asadullah. They were among 20 best players of the country who recently went through the trial.

Alamgir Ghazi, 21, has represented Pakistan in Qatar and Brazil in diffraction tournaments.

He has been playing professional football since he was 11 years old, Alamgir Ghazi told ChitralToday.

“It is my wish to represent my country internationally. There is so much talent in our country in football. I also want to work domestically to promote new talent in football,” he said.
