NADRA offices in Mastuj, Shagram approved

BOONI: NADRA franchise offices will be set up in Mastuj and Shagram to facilitate the residents who currently have to visit Booni to make or renew their identity documents.

In this regard, a delegation of PTI Upper Chitral met NADRA Chairman Tariq Malik in Islamabad on Thursday and informed him about issues being faced by the people of the remote district due to unavailability of NADRA offices in their areas, a participant told ChitralToday.

The NADRA chief said franchise offices will be set up in Mastuj and Shagram and land would also be acquired to build their own offices.

Work on the feasibility of the project will start soon and complete in three to four months after which construction of the offices will start. Till completion of the franchise offices, two mobile teams will be provided to the remote areas to cater to the applicants, he added.

The delegation was led by Senator Falak Naz while PTI Upper Chitral information secretary Syed Mukhrat Ali Shah briefed the NADRA chairman.
