BOONI: At least 12 students were injured in a road accident near Rayin village of Upper Chitral on Monday, and one of them identified as Farhat Hakim later passed away.
Local sources told ChitralToday that the students from Govt High School Lonkoh in Terich Lower were going back after taking part in a zonal tournament in Booni when their Datsun vehicle fell into a ravine while ascending the road near Rayin Gol.
As a result, the 12 students were injured and one of them died. The others were brought to the rural health centre of Shagram from where two were referred to Chitral. The condition of the other injured was stated to be out of danger.–Sher Afgan
