Sorlaspur residents celebrate opening of new powerhouse

SOLASPUR (UPPER CHITRAL): A 200 KV hydel powerhouse constructed through funds provided by Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization (PEDO) was inaugurated in Sorlaspur village in the Laspur valley of Upper Chitral..

The powerhouse was inaugurated by minority MPA Wazirzada, who is also the KP chief minister’s special assistant.

About 54 micro-hydel powerhouses are being constructed under PEDO across Chitral.
People of Sorlaspur on the occasion expressed joy and arranged a musical programme.

They said their village located at the end of the Laspur valley towards Shandur pass had got the facility for the first time.–GH Farooqui
